Garfield Memorial Christian Church

We welcome all!

Garfield Memorial Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) is a multi-ethnic church in which the gifts of all races, ethnicity's, our lives, ages, abilities, and education are celebrated and employed as we learn about God's plan for our lives, celebrate in worship and move out in mission. We come from many different church backgrounds - and folks with no church experience at all. Through our relationships with Jesus Christ and with one another, all of us are trying to live with meaning and purpose.

We believe that God sent Jesus to show God's love for us and to show us how to love. Jesus' love is at the heart of the purpose behind everything we do. We don't believe that we are perfect, but that we have received a tremendous gift, we strive to be more like Jesus: in loving relationships, in humble service, and in pursuing the well-being of all God's creation. Church doesn't just happen when we're sitting in the pew. Church happens when we reach out to those who are hungry, sick or forgotten. When we stand together for justice and inclusion. And when we open our hearts to those who are struggling.

So come! Share your talent and time and be a part of our community. At Garfield Memorial, everyone is important.

There's a PLACE for YOU.
